I tend to agree with those who've stated that it's likely the actual individual candidates themselves know very little about notary laws and functions, unless they take it upon themselves to become knowledgeable. I've long felt that much of what we've seen come out of that office over the years that I've been a NP has come from a career public servant whose only focus is on those issues - good, bad or otherwise...

I'll be making my decision on other issues, I believe. Any comments I have on that don't belong on this page, so I'll send you a PM. (I also like to avoid JP.)
