It doesn't cover printing, travel, dropping off docs, admin costs, etc.
Frankly, what you're able to negotiate for your fees is not our concern and we can't base our fees on someone else's decisions for their business. We have to base our fees on our own overhead plus enough of a profit to make it worth our time and for our own business to be profitable. When we sit down to pay our bills each month, none of our creditors will be moved if we tell them that "we only get..." or that our client "only pays us..." They'd think we've lost our minds. [I'm trying to picture using that approach with my auto mechanic... LOL! He'd probably very nicely tell me to take a hike! ]
It's up to each of us to negotiate a fee for our services that will be sufficient for us to continue in business - or we should find a different way to generate income. This applies just as much to signing services and title/escrow companies as it does to us!
