Re: echeck vendor payments posing problem for my bank-continued

Call me old fashioned, but this is one reason I always still make my deposits in person inside the bank. When I go in, the tellers and branch manager all recognize me, and most know I'm a notary. (I've even had them refer some business to me on occasion.) But if I ever have an issue, I just think it's easier to deal with someone who knows me.

There is a potential downside, though. I made a deposit last week at a different branch I use from time to time, and the teller asked me about becoming a notary. I noticed she was looking a little closer than I usually see at some of the checks I was depositing... [Someone once posted here about a notary at a UPS store looking at return addresses of clients and using that info to try to get their business. I doubt that was what she was doing, but it crossed my mind for a half a sec. Wink]

 Absolutely correct, Mike, echecks lack a MICR line. :( n/m -  Christine/OK on 12/14/18 6:24am
