I've been using the free version for a while - someone here (can't remember who, sorry) recommended it. It works in my Chrome browser and is very useful when posting messages to various forums. I have minor quibbles with it - it sometimes suggests changes that make no sense to me, but most of the time it's spot on. For instance, as I was typing that last sentence, I typed "suggest" rather than "suggests", and it caught the mistake, so it can sometimes examine a word in context to the words around it. It's also very useful for correcting the typos that my fumble fingers are prone to causing.
Whether the full version is worth $120/yr is debatable unless you're a professional writer (and even then, not so much - I just tested it by typing "your" instead of "you're" in the previous sentence and Grammarly thought that was fine even though I expected the error to be caught), but for everyday use I would recommend it to make the messages you type look more professional.
