Previous Notary took an assignment but never showed up
Posted by  MPH/GA of GA on 3/21/19 5:00pm Msg #604591
Has anyone taken an assignment and it was a last minute, which I know better but it was close to me and I had not had anything for weeks?

The TC failed to advise me that this order was assigned to another notary the day before so the borrower was already upset when I arrived. The borrower was the one that informed me what transpired the day before in which the first notary that accepted it but failed to arrive. She went as far to contact the borrower and advise that she would be there and answer any questions. However, the notary never showed up for the appointment so no explanation was supplied to them.

First I will not take another last minute. Second, can anyone tell me how to respond to this? I should have known that there was going to be a problem because I had trouble getting the package and too many people that I was working with. This was a screwed up mess from the beginning..

I guess I'm looking for opinions and has anyone else seen this problem before? I did let them know that I was blind going into this meeting and something that should have been fairly straight forward was anything but straight forward.
