Absolutely no they cannot do that if not in your printed confirmation. Verbal doesn't mean anything. I have from time to time been ask if I can scan and usually from the title company requesting it when they send docs in their email. Depending on the company, how good they are to me I usually don't make an issue about it, but certainly never been deducted from my closing price because it didn't happen and wasn't in the confirmation.
