Very good info Lisa (thanks)!!! It gives me a starting point to start with the DMV. I think I will make an appt. at my local DMV and ask the proper questions to see what info they will give me in WRITING. I do understand the person must be at deaths door and not used for general purposes or because a person is very mature, depressed or lazy. While I am thinking out loud I have a few concerns. If a person has their full mind (but as some of us may know) normal bodily functions stop working. It would seem to me this condition could/would be a health hazard in a public area. I am sure the requesting party would need a doctors note. I still feel this information should be available to the general public when trying to find the information on a government website. That is for another totally different discussion if I find out the DMV in Los Angels County does provide this service. If the service is not available then it is a mute point.
