There is one person you should get to know in the Bay area, and that is Matt Miller, pro-notary and putting up a good fight for notaries nationally opposing RON. He's in the city and listed here under the SF FIND A NOTARY tab above. He gets groups together, not sure how often. He could use more support too, I'm sure.
