Time for zygote compromise!
Posted by BearPaw/CO of CO on 3/24/17 12:43pm Msg #69911
...was listening to Andrea Mitchell and Chuck Todd chat on MSNBC this morning. Andrea said the one comment that stood out the most to her in all this health care debate was from male congressmen questioning why they should have to pay for insurance to cover maternity care. Her response was the old tried and true: Why should women have to pay for your prostate care? But I propose a compromise. To those men, I would say, OK, you pay only for the part of the maternity care for which you are responsible. We'll leave it up to medical science/insurance companies to determine the exact percentage of your responsibility in the creation of this soon to be adorable sweet baby, but to my little eye, I'd go with 50%:

From Wikipedia: <<An embryo is a multicellular diploid eukaryote in an early stage of embryogenesis, or development. In general, in organisms that reproduce sexually, an embryo develops from a zygote, the single cell resulting from the fertilization of the female egg cell by the MALE SPERM CELL (capitalization mine). The zygote possesses HALF (capitalization mine) the DNA of each of its two parents.>>

Oh, and by the way, also in the spirit of compromise, women's health insurance premiums would pay up to 50% of the Viagra Rx (if needed) in order to create the above referenced multicellular diploid eukaryote.
