Once again, Trump was off to a golf course today. The press pool was told he was going there for "meetings", but was given no further information about who the meetings were with or what they were about.
The press pool was held in an area away from the golf course, while Trump disappeared for three hours of "meetings" that Spicer's office was unable or unwilling to provide info about.
One of the club members later posts photos on Instagram of Trump on the course in full golfing regalia, including golf shoes, as well as a photo of Trump riding in a golf cart on the course, and tweets the link to a member of the press who then retweets it to the world at large with an arrow pointing to the golf shoes...
So the guy who complained about Obama playing golf when he should have been working, and said on the campaign trail that he was going to stay in DC because he would be too busy working to play golf, has now spent 7 of 8 weekends doing exactly what he said he was not going to do. And now, his staff is actively trying to hide it from us by claiming he's in meetings when he's actually out playing golf.
Say whatever you want about Obama, but when he was golfing, we knew he was golfing. Unlike President Barnum - I mean, Trump - he didn't feel a need to hide that fact from us.
Between promoting easily debunked lies and evidence-free conspiracy theories, this administration is seriously underestimating the intelligence of the American people.
We're only two months in; it will probably get worse...
