After admitting that he should not have used private aircraft for government travel, HHS Secty Price announced that he will repay the American public for the costs he incurred and promised to never do it again. And he wrote a personal check to pay it back.
Problem: He only wants to repay the cost of his SEAT on the plane, not the entire cost of the flights. That's roughly $50k vs over $400K in actual cost.
To be clear - the private planes were ordered by Price to fly him somewhere - it's not like the plane was going there anyway and he just hitched a ride and now has to pay for a seat. He should be responsible for the FULL cost of the flights he authorized.
