Oh, excuse me for referring to ships as "boats". They're actually the same thing with two different names, but I'll accept your word for it.
Whether or not the "ships" can make it there quickly, the planes (is that the proper term, or should we be calling them something else?) certainly can. The idea that the island is too far away is nonsense. People were flying to and from Puerto Rico on a daily basis, several times a day. It takes less time to get from Miami to San Juan than it does to get to Miami from New York.
Regardless, the fact remains that our President was playing golf while the mayor of San Juan was wading through chest-high sewage trying to help the residents of her city. Trump should have been laser-focused on the problem because that's what a president is supposed to do. That hasn't happened yet. |
