So you may only target practice (sport) and don't hunt. But certainly in defending yourself, you would use your firearm to at least intimidate, if not to wound, or kill. Or have I got that wrong? In any case, good to know we can count on you to use your weapons only for the good stuff.
But in addition to those with their heads buried in the Second Amendment, there are other Second Amendment lovers such as Stephen Paddock who murdered 58 people and injured nearly 600 in his Las Vegas shooting spree, using bump fire stocks to convert his semiautomatic into fully automatic. (What will they think of next?!) Then, there were the two boys at Columbine who left 13 classmates dead using automatic weapons. Let's throw in Parkland (17 dead) and blah blah blah, too many others to mention. And of course our all-time favorite Adam Lanza who blew the brains out (and other internal organs) of 20 little 6 and 7 year-olds just before Christmas at Sandy Hook. What a surprise for those parents! Wonder what they did with the presents they had tucked under the tree. Wonder what they did with all the toys, stuffed teddy bears, dolls that they would never be played with again and all the clothes in their rooms. Must have been fun packing up all those cute dresses for Goodwill. Won't need those anymore. Wonder what they told their siblings. Wonder what the trip to the coroner's office was like. Wonder how they got on with their lives. Wonder wonder wonder. Of well, let's not waste our time wondering. Let's move on to the next school massacre.
Incidentally, Lanza was armed with 3 semi-automatics but killed all the kids (along with 6 adults) with a Bushmaster rifle. The coroner said that if the kids suffered, it wasn't for long. Nice to know. In the meantime, let's all hide behind the Second Amendment and pretend it's business as usual. Because after all, there's only one thing the NRA cares about: the free Constitutional pass to make big money in weapons sales, including military style weapons and all the amazing paraphernalia that goes with it.
