Are those "large number of children (who) will never (likely) never be reunited with their parents" including the over 10K children whose own parents separated themselves from their own children when they sent them to enter the U.S. illegally by themselves?
I will agree with you that IF, I say IF because just saying something doesn't make it so, IF there isn't some sort of tracking system in place to match children with parents that such a situation is unacceptable.
One fact that is often ignored when debating illegal aliens crossing illegally into the U.S. is that these children would not be in the situation of being separated had their own parents not tried to enter the U.S. illegally with them (or sending them to illegally enter the U.S. on their own). This fact doesn't necessarily change much of the discussion, however, it does help to take the tone down a bit.

In the second video, this was during a 2 hour ride along (just 2 hrs). That's a heck of a lot of "net zero" illegal aliens crossing into the U.S., imo.
