The two candidates for GA governor are the white Secretary of State who has been in charge of elections and has a known history of trying to suppress votes (you can look that up) and a black state congresswoman. Randolph County happens to have the highest black population in the entire state of GA. Eliminating 7 of the 9 polling places in the county would make it difficult if not impossible for many in the county to get to a polling place, and the explanation that they could get absentee ballots was bogus - there is no guarantee that they would get the ballots and less guarantee that those ballots would be accepted. Pointing to ADA non-compliance, as the consultant did, is a new GOP tactic - they have been actively looking at polling places to find those that can be closed, insisting they must be closed immediately. You can look that up too.
The question that has STILL not been answered is: Why now? Why is this suddenly an issue so close to an important election?
