"From what I could find, Donald's grandfather, Friedrich, followed his sister to U.S. (She came here a year before he did.) He married a woman from his German hometown and they attempted to return to Germany. However, because of his draft-dodging, they lost their Bavarian citizenship and had to return to U.S."

This is interesting because his HOME country deported him, essentially making him a man without a country - and the US welcomed him. What kind of socialist progressive immigration policy did the US have??? Oh, wait - back then the US actually welcomed immigrants.

"Were Donald's grandparents ever legally/officially admitted to the U.S.? Did that process even exist back then? "

At the time, there was no real process - you showed up at a port of entry (e.g., Ellis Island) and as long as you were healthy. you were allowed in. That's how my grandparents came to the US- they arrived on a boat from Italy. That was at a time when Italians and Irish were not really welcome here, but the doors were still open to them. Immigration policies happened some years later.

"What I did find, however, was the source of the Trump wealth - exploitation/brothels"

Interesting family history, isn't it? It's easy to see where Trump's con game comes from - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Did you get to the part where his father pretended the family was Swedish rather than German because he thought it would make it easier to rent apartments to Jews after WWII? This is the same guy who had his property managers write a large "C" at the top of any rental application from a black family... I wonder what that "C" could possibly have meant? I'm drawing a blank - do you have any ideas?
