Do you seete difference? It's not have it now or have it later - it's giving the people a voice through democratic elections, rather than through simply seizing power and imposing your will. Democtratic elections means the people can say no, where in a purely socialst society they don't have that choice. Is the difference too subtle for you?

I'm a second-generation Italian-American. During WWII, my family didn't align with the Italian fascist regime, My father landed in Normandy on D-Day and was among those who fought to liberate France. I am as proud of his service as I'm sure you are proud of your family's service, and the comment was not intended as a slur about your family. Quite frankly, the fact that you are of German heritahge never even crossed my mind. If you took it as a slur against your family, I apologize - it was not meant that way. |
