Sounds great! Make sure to bring your sunscreen. What month are you going? Fantasy-fest during Halloween is probably not for the faint of heart...Aug-Sept. is hurricane season, and only 1 way in and way out and could be stuck in an evacuation. My opinion the best month is April...water is warm enough to snorkel, fishing is good, and you won't be heat blasted like in June+, spring breakers are over. If you can plan a day on the way down like in Islmorada, Marathon or other keys you will see how different they all are. There is a resort off of one of the keys which mimic Bora Bora, and have cabins with glass bottom floors built right on the ocean. Another is under the water and you have to dive to get to it. Interesting place. Key Largo has the John Penekamp State Park, and has so much to do. If you swim out to the raft, they have pretty big fish there to see hiding out, glass bottom boats. be sure and wear full swim shoes, because they keys have no beaches really, all coral. They have to take you out on boats for the most part.
