What I don't get is why the request to be paid by a gift card would not be a huge red flag! What would the IRS, or the court system, or any utility, etc. want with a gift card? I feel sorry for these victims because the majority of them are immigrants and don't understand English as well, especially when the person is on the telephone and speaking very fast - or the elderly who get confused.

There is a special place in Hades for these scum
