Jan, give your nails the chance to fully grow out...all that nail bed has been filed and damaged, so it all has to grow from the bottom out. That is the worst process of all of it because it will peel and continue to be thin until the new grows out, and have to discourage picking at it. Think of your skin under a band-aid, it gets soft, and doesn't have to harden to protect itself. After you give it a good 3-4 months, and continue to take the biotin, you will see a 1000% difference. The biotin will only work towards the new growth, not the existing damaged nail.
I take the biotin pills I order from e-bay, 5000 mg. It's fantastic, and really healed my thinning hair as well from stress. |
