What many patients who are on expensive drugs or treatment do not realize is that there are organizations out there that can provide grants to help to pay for those treatments. In most cases. the drug manufacturers are required to set aside funds to help those who can't afford to pay for the medication - that's why you see the disclaimer in some of the TV ads that if you can't afford it, the manufacturer may be able to help.
It really comes down to either having a proactive medical team in your corner as I was lucky enough to have or doing your own research - and the research can be frustrating.
