My brother and his wife were able to book a hotel package in Charleston, SC - which is in the totality zone - that included a presentation from an astronomer at a dinner the night before and rooftop viewing at the hotel (including certified glasses) on Monday. They turned it into a mini-vacation, spending several days exploring a beautiful city before and after the event.
