As you wish.
Whoa what a HUGE salad. The size my wife would make for maybe two dinners. Gonna take me a little bit so will tell you what's going on.
First this salad! Man! I'm not a big fan normally but this thing has me eating like a pig. Had to put it into a good size Tupperware bowl.
Picked and prepared a few greens mid-morning and let them chill. Before I go on, I'm going to explain later how you can do this too, using just pots.
Though plants are still young I'm determined not to let them go to waste. I picked some of the mystery arugula, red romaine, spinach, mache lettuce, and curly leaf kale. After de-stemming the kale I message in with a little bit of salt and a good plash of lemon. Softens right up and removes some of the bitter. It's masked by the rest of the greens.
All these can be grown in pots with good soil and may be moved around until the plant takes hold and grows with the amount of sun it likes. Greens grow FAST. Just one 6" pot of arugula, one kale in individual pot. Some mache and romaine in another pot. Spinach is hard to grow in warm weather but the rest of this can also grow in cold weather, not snow.
Okay, I'm done. Check out my next post. I need to be quick and get out of here. |
