$125,000$250,000$1,000$366

All policies are for a term of 1-year and Notary Rotary Membership is required.

Our Signing Agent Errors & Omissions Insurance Policy is designed to fill the gaps left with traditional Notary Errors & Omissions Insurance, which only provides coverage for the actual notarizations in a loan package. The new policy, which includes defense costs, provides coverage for actions such as:
  • Innocent errors or omissions related to Signing Agent Notarial acts
  • Incorrectly dating the Right of Rescission
  • Missed initials or non-notarized signatures
  • Improper corrections made to documents
  • Failure to complete the signing on time
  • Late return of date-sensitive documents
Innocent mistakes happen, no matter how careful you are. Consider a few cases where traditional notary errors and omissions insurance would not apply:

A notary signing agent completed a loan closing and was responsible for returning the documents via expedited mail. However, the notary accidentally threw away the wrong envelope and the documents were never sent.A signing agent completed a closing, put the documents in the mail, and completed all required assignments. However, the title company never received the documents and accused the signing agent of never sending them and delaying the closing.A mortgage lender sued a signing agent for failing to provide customers with copies of documents, which resulted in a change in rescission date.

Notary Errors & Omissions Policy. This product has multiple versions. Please select one using the Choose a Version box.
Notary Errors and Omissions Insurance Policy covering the term of your current commission. This A-rated policy is written with Western Surety Company (CNA Surety) and is best purchased at the beginning of your commission term. Please select your coverage amount. If you are mid-term, please call us in order to pro-rate the premium.

This Notary Errors and Omissions Insurance Policy offers vital protection from lawsuits for your current commission term.

Why would I want this policy?
The Washington Notary Public Errors and Omissions Policy is a form of liability insurance that protects you, acting as a duly commissioned and sworn Washington Notary Public, during the policy period and subject to the policy limits, from claims or suits that are the result of your negligent acts, errors or omissions. Unlike a notary bond, which only protects the public, this policy will pay for investigation, defense and settlement of committed or alleged acts by the insured subject to the policy's liability limit. Once that limit has been paid by the insurer, the policy stops providing coverage and you are personally responsible for any additional legal fees or damages.

What if I cancel or want to upgrade?
Most policies we carry have been filed with state insurance departments as having "fully-earned" premiums. This means that the premium is non-refundable. However, if a higher coverage amount is available during the term of your policy and you would like to upgrade to it, you may do so. Just give us a call so that we may calculate the pro-rated upgrade cost for you.

This is NOT the Washington notary bond you need to obtain your commission
A notary bond in the amount of $10,000.00 is required in Washington to become a Washington notary public. The bond must be purchased separately. Because the bond only protects the public and because any money paid by the surety on your behalf can be recovered from you, we strongly recommend you purchase notary E&O coverage in an amount at least equal to the bond amount of $10,000.00. We also recommend purchasing coverage for the entire term of your commission so that you don't forget to renew, which could leave you unprotected should a mistake be made. Washington notaries public are commissioned for a term of 4 years.

Ideal Notary Seal Embosser

Ideal Notary Seal Embosser. This product has multiple versions. Please select one using the Choose a Version box.
Click for details
Ideal® is the industry's leading embosser and the Model M is a step up from the less expensive No. 1, which many stores carry.

Handhelds are great for notaries on the go while desk models are best if you don't travel.

The Ideal Model M is a heavy-duty hand notary seal embosser which produces clean, crisp impressions on most paper stocks.

This embosser offers a high degree of leverage, longer paper insertion than entry-level models such as the No. 1, and a die-insert that is interchangeable with the Desk model. When you purchase the Model M handheld embosser, you will also receive a black carrying pouch.

The Ideal Model M Desk embosser features a larger body and is meant to sit atop your desk. Embossments are a bit easier with the desk style due to the greater degree of leverage it offers.

When you order the Model M hand held or Desk model, it will come with a die insert engraved with your notary commission information. If your commission information includes an expiration date, you will simply need to buy a replacement insert when your new term begins.

The Insert listed in our store is just that - the insert ONLY. If you purchase an insert, you should already have an Ideal Model M seal handle to place it in.

Embossers are sometimes called paper crimpers. In many states, an embosser alone is sufficient to perform a notarization; in others, they may only be used in conjunction with notary seal stamps.

Washington Jurat Stamp - Titan
Click for details
This stamp contains approved notarial wording for a Washington jurat. The use of a stamp is strongly recommended over a loose certificate. This is not a seal stamp.

If you are administering an oath or affirmation and your affidavit lacks the wording for a jurat, this handy stamp can be used to add the jurat text directly to your document (provided you have a small amount of blank space available). Using a jurat stamp has the following advantages over attaching a loose-leaf jurat:

 • Cannot be detached/more secure
 • Easier to photocopy
 • Less expensive

The Titan will produce thousands of impressions before having to be re-inked.
