Howdy all - This is my Official Announcement of Retirement:

As of July 9, 2011, I'm a re-tired Remote Closer, Signing Agent, Notary Signing Agent (NSA), for the lending/borrowing industry.

It's been a wonderful vocation that literally fell into my lap back in '03, and after miles of smiles, some potholes of every size and shape, great relationships in the Biz, and thousands of neighbors I never would have otherwise met, I'm so contented to hang up the proverbial shingle.

So I'm lightening the load, and have these tried and true tools of the trade for sale:

'Big Daddy'* Printer: HP 2430dtn dual-tray workhorse. 74,959 pp as of today around an hour ago. 256 MB DDR, Ram disk storage, 150 MB Capacity.

'Sam-I-ScanJet'* HP 8250w/large capacity Feeder.

'Brother Max'* IntelliFAX 2800 laser phone/fax.

(* = I've always named the tools of my trades, so please don't laugh.)

If interested, please send a Private Message for more info.

Have a great weekend, everyone. I so look forward to starting my next journeys in the months ahead, and finally going down some different roads; in service, rather than in business - and I'm so blessed to be a part of the NR commuity for so long.

Anyway, happy Friday! Bar's open, and everything's on the House.

Here's to the return of Morning Music!

Best wishes, there Susan

Before you get rid of all your equipment though, if you are going to volunteer and work with various groups on different projects, you may want to assess the situation. You may wish you had some of that equipment back. ....

Good point, Glenn, and I'm planning for that - just not

for such high volume work. Downsizing is always so hard, I know I have all of this stuff for perfectly good reasons - and I just know it's going to come in handy as shirt on a pocket some day...

Anyway, thanks.

u all - This is my Official Announcement of Retirement:

I'm envious as hell. Enjoy your journey, Susan. Myself, I'm quiet a ways out from retirement, but trying to get a lot of traveling in between monthend madness. Feel like as well as things are rolling along steadily I may as well take advantage of it.

If you get to my neck of the woods, you must come to see the vineyard operation and hang out for a spell.

Clink! We'll miss you very much. All the best! (my mom is just down the road in Florence, look her up. Right now she's in CA visiting her beautiful children...)

How fun - push-pins on the map; so many good people

to hiway and meet. No take off-date, circumstances must have their time to play out. But not having to answer a call from a number I don't know? May sound funny, but - priceless.

You're on the map, and I'll only need 39' to park. Ok, 50', so I can back the smarie out of the garage - lordy, it's so hard to go slow...

I'm really hoping to make it during grape-stompting time - instant flash-back to Lucy and Ethyl - . When I get to town, I'll call and call from the store - and climb up to your mountaintop with lots of goodies.

Thanks for the reminder about your folks in Florence - that will be so cool. We'll send pics...

<big grin> Aw, Tonya, I'll take all the help I can get. Who

knows, ay?

It's feels so good to have such warmth and support, we just don't know what's around that next corner.

Taking it slowly, that shedding of stuff, the down-sizing a lifetime, the deciding what to keep and what to let go...

Paring down - that alone is a good goal in these last years.

I'm still finding things I no longer need or that steal my time in maintenance.

Enjoy whatever you do. I truly wish you only the best.

Best of luck, Susie and enjoy. I will probably keep doing

this until I drop dead in about 25 year, walking up to a 3rd floor condo for a signing.
They say, "only the good die young" so I'm good for a long time yet.
Been fun being a NOTROT and other board buddy with you over the years.
Some JP folks may need a new villian. Hope Hugh is up to the task.
Toodles, and enjoy a long and fruitful retirement.

I have complete faith in HisHughness, another favorite old coot, and trust you'll continue to add to offer your pearls of jam, I mean, wisdom and funny.

Shouldn't there be a 'Stairs' surcharge for the high risk they pose?

Re: This is my Official Announcement of Retirement:

Congratulations Susie!

I must admit that the view from your "office" that you have often described is what most of us picture some of our views would be in retirement. I've been jealous from the first time I read about your morning/sunset views. Wink Wishing you nothing but the best and many wonderful new views along your new journey.

Many of us say "Someday I'll be able to retire". You have now reached that mark and start another journey with many exciting adventures ahead. All your planning and preparations have paid off for you!

In honor of your announcement, here is a poem that I have kept on my desk for years. You have taken your "Someday I'll" and made it a reality. Congratulations again!

---------------------------
"Someday I'll"
by Denis Waitley

There is an island fantasy
A "someday I'll" we'll never see ...
Where we all retire at forty-one
Playing backgammon in the island sun

Most unhappy people look to tomorrow
To erase this day's hardship and sorrow
They put happiness on "lay away"
And struggle through a blue today ...

Life's most important revelation
Is that the journey means more than the destination ...
The fear of results is procrastination
The joy of today is celebration

You can save, you can slave, trudging mile after mile
But you'll never set foot on your "Someday I'll"
When you've paid all your dues and put in your time
Out of nowhere comes another Mt. Everest to climb

From this day forward make it your vow
Take "Someday I'll" and make it your Now!
