7.4 will not collude with other specialists to set fees for

signing services.

What?!

The very thing THEY are doing they want to say we can't do. Ha. Do you think for one second that these SS's, some title companies and associations have not 'colluded' a fixed rate they are willing to pay. Odd how they are all basically worked down to the same pay they want to give.

"collude" = act in unison, conspire, act in agreement, act together.
The collusion going on at their meetings is mind-blowing. Just look at the list of things they are expecting from us. Collusion in its truest form.

How about this? I will comply with the "specialist" requirement. But, put me on the HUD at $500 payable at closing. Everyone else in the transaction gets paid at closing and then Notaries have to wait for their money.

It's another stupid "standard" - of course we can't collude on pricing, it violates the antitrust laws. it's why the NNA removed their "suggested fees" several years ago- it was illegal.

So here we have a "standard" that prevents us from doing something we already know we can't do, but is silent about what the hiring parties can do. This from an organization that claims to be working in the best interests of its members.
