DO YOU WANT AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE NNA'S SPW?
We have a plan and are looking for volunteer who has the time to help with our website design. This is not a paid position, but there is no code of conduct. Please PM me if you are that person.

Re: DO YOU WANT AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE NNA
I would imagine everyone on the forum would like an alternative. What have you got going Vickie?

Re: DO YOU WANT AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE NNA
Will this alternative address the lenders' need to provide documentation of supervision of service providers and their sub-contractors, and their compliance with all federal finance law for the CFPB? That is the need that the SPW claims they're trying to fulfill. I agree that their approach is a bridge too far, but I doubt any other alternative will have a chance to succeed unless it can help them with their CFPB compliance issues.

For those of you that do not know
Notary on the Go is a nationwide organization claiming to have 4500 experienced notaries available 24/7. Can they be a force to offset NNA and SBW? If they have the answers, I for one, think they should share with the NSA industry. JMHO

Re: Notary on The Go in North Carolina. I AM MISTAKEN!!!
It appears that Notary on The Go in North Carolina is not affiliated with the nationwide organization. I wish to apologize for the mistake and wish the North Carolina organization will. John Tennant

Re: The NNA has gone far beyond CFPB Compliance we have
I stated in my post that the NNA had gone too far. My question was about you. I'm hoping you didn't address my question directly because you're not ready to go public yet, not because you don't have an answer. Unfortunately, I can't offer any help on websites.

There are a number of individuals trying to do this same
thing. If you are not aware of them YOUR networking world is VERY small.
As NR has over 40,000 members which is around 1 % of all the notaries you can see what you're up against,......like 10,000 "Group Organizers" all trying to get someone to join their group..
I talk to notaries who don't even know what GNW is......how you going to reach them?

Re: DO YOU WANT AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE NNA
There are at least two groups on Linked-In that have discussions where posters comment to setting up a website to offer an alternative to SPeW NNA. That makes three groups that I am aware of attempting to do the same thing.
I think it would be better if all those who are trying to start an alternate group would find a way to communicate with each other, and then all of us who are concerned could join the one, strong group. Wonder if that's possible?

"all of us who are concerned could join the one, strong group. Wonder if that's possible?"
Then we might see the "Us vs Them" mentality, losing good ideas along the way. When there is only two of some type org., it appears to devolve. (Think Political Scene) Three is a magic number for finding a better competition (think cell phone companies).
Just an immediate thought.

Is a Union in the works for Notaries Public...
"Us vs Them" "Us" for Independent Contractors is almost an oxymoron.
