New bckground check: Points for criminal and moving offenses

The new background screening standards require a 10 year search of criminal offenses and moving violations to which points are assigned. Points range from 2 to 25 points. Examples:

-Making false statements - 25 points
- Obscenity - 5 points
- driving without a license 15 points
- Toll evasion 15 points
-Trespassing 10 points
-Driving too fast for conditions 20
-Failure to obey traffic light 4 points
-Failure to obey stop sign
Failure to signal intention to pass -3 points
Failure to yield to an emergency vehicle 2 points
Failure to yield right-of-way 3 points
-Speeding in a school zone 8 points
-Improper backing 2 points
-Improper lane change 2 points

You get the idea, 25 points in a 10 year period and you fail the background screen

I like this one:
Failure to signal intention to pass -3 points

Driving records is absolutely NO ONE's business!!!

As a matter of fact, most of our tickets etc (at least in my case) are a direct result of us trying to get to our next closing because of issues at our previous closing took up the 45 minute cushion between closings. I always leave at least 45 minutes plus drive time.

Background Screen: Unequal treatment

The following states, according to the SPW background screening standards, only go back 7 years: CA, Kansas, Maryland, Montana, Nevada, New Hamp, New Mex, NY and Washington. [Clearly, in 3 years, they will have the 10 year minimum to calculate. Someone has to keep track of this, WHO will do this, NNA, who?
NY restricts criminal court searches to state databases, not counties. No offense to NY, but there is an unequal treatment issue here for the rest of us.
WA and Pennsylvania does not provide motor Vehicle records. I'm from WA so I'm happy, but I'm about the interests of all of us.

Lets talk about the meaning of this.
