That's a good question and I agree with Yoli. It may go beyond that, though. I came across something recently that seemed to address that issue, but I don't recall the details. (It might have been on the radio, discussing the housing market in general, but didn't have my full attention.)

The upshot had something to do with potential long delays in processing times of certain key documents requiring data? or approval? or some kind of report? from HUD or other governmental agency(ies). Maybe it was just FHA loans. Those of you who have experience in loan origination may have more insight into what this could be. Anyone?
