"who wants to be out in the field doing closings all day and then have to print at night in preparation for the next day?"

At this stage of my life, I'm not one of them Wink (with exceptions from time to time), but you hit on a key point here. It's the old adage: "Those who succeed are willing to do what those who fail are not." I'm certainly not saying that notaries who don't do this are failures, but this is a major determinant of the level of success achieved. (Various market forces are another.) Back in the refi-mania days, I often worked 10 hour days and I remember frequently putting in 14 - 15 hour days, esp around EOM.

Naturally, everyone's situation is different, but there are notaries among us who have really hussled and worked their tails off - and made the hefty incomes that we hear spoken about from time to time. But I believe they're the exception, not the rule - especially these days!
