A few months ago I installed Adobe 7.0. I had read about people having issues when others had not. I can't remember why I went ahead and installed the new version, but I did.
Yesterday some Adobe automatic updates appeared on my desktop so I went ahead and installed them. BIG MISTAKE. Today Adobe crashed my system. I did a system restore and that seemed to make matters even worse. I was unable to download from the Adobe site and couldn't download prviously viewed Adobe files. I received a Mirosoft Online Crash Analysis stating that the error was caused by Adobe Systems Inc. and that no solution could be found.
What a mess. After three hours of hard labor (IMHO), much stress and delayed closings, I was able to remove Adobe completely from my system and view the Adobe site. I downloaded Adobe 6.0 and now, evething is back to normal.
For you techies out there that may what to tell us why this might happen, the file I was opening was created using Adobe 5.5.
I hope I can save someone the stress and frustration that I just experienced. |
