refi boom in 2020 (that you said you did not participate in). At $85, no wonder you were frustrated with making any money! That's lower than my lowest fees almost 20 years ago. Lower than I would even do a seller package for by a lot, today!

I do close for Amrock and they are the only company I will close for $85. When I first got in to the biz 6-7 yrears, $85 was their standard pay. And it still is.
At the moment I have no trouble getting $100 to $135. Some title companies are on their knees to get notaries to close a loan. So negotiating higher fees has not been a problem. Most T'C's are very happy to have a notary say "Yes" to a signing opportunity. They always sound so relieve" |
