You are correct though about looking professional, verses looking like an idiot when it comes to your business. Just remember anyone, software or not can make mistakes. As one who gets the calls, you must decide if it was a one time mistake or just sloppy accounting on their part. Either way they owe you an apology if they did indeed receive and cash it, or you need to investigate it further with the bank if they say they absolutely did not.
