 Competition vs. Networking
Posted by  SamIam_CA on 5/13/05 10:30am

It seems to me that some new notaries think that the established notaries are not helpful because they "fear competition". I just wanted to give my 2 cents...

Although our main bread and butter may be working as NSAs - our job is to act as notaries PUBLIC. Serving the PUBLIC. Last week a member of NotRot who is my 'competition' passed the signing of a marriage dissolution (divorce) over to me because he couldn't make the appointment.

Yesterday I passed a marriage dissolution over to another member of this board because I couldn't make it - and I feel great! I'm not saying you should give your neighboring notaries the names and e-mails of your favorite loan officer or title company. I am saying that it is in everyone's best interest to network with your fellow notaries to serve the public better.
