Creating Networks is very helpful...Aside from the Boxes...
Posted by  BrendaTx on 2/13/06 1:54pm

Let's think "aside" of the colorful boxes and outside of the box, as well, for awhile.

Awhile back I used my limited internet marketing and applied it to my limited knowledge of how to market to those who hire us. It takes time, folks, but it will come. I started my network of associates in March of last year, I think it was. In December my network received $750 - $1000 of work which either I took or referred to my cohorts. I personally took those calls and found people to fill the slot if possible, without charge to anyone. You cannot always plan to take a cut to get something you need or want.

I am not against SSs but I do not want to continue to make less than half-fees. I have no problem with the SSs who have paid me in excess of $75. I adore the ones who willingly pay $100 plus when it was called for.

And, I am grateful for all calls I have received for less than I would normally take. I am thankful and grateful for the SS work I have been offered and received. Of course, there will always be the undercutting SA who will scoop me. A fact of life for the SA.

People, if you want to be found by title companies and lenders, get into position and form networks. Create lists of people who are in your area. It will take about a month for google to notice you.

Why form networks? Because title companies are beginning to look to the SA often over the SS. If you have many good SAs you associate yourself with YOU BECOME BOOKMARKED. You are "sticky" and you are returned to again, and again. I have explained some of this in my newsletter before so look in my profile if you wish to read about it.

Over the weekend, I was contacted by someone who said I should "can" and franchise the
idea. Well...I probably should, but I just don't have the energy these days to start more than I have running already.

I am grateful for the SS jobs I have gotten and I appreciate them, but I work less now and make more...if only others could realize that by taking control of your own MARKETING to title companies in situations like my network does you can get more business, you would
(1) reduce the need for signing services
(2) get more direct business by being found.

I will not post the link to my network because Anon XXXXXX will call me out for advertising, again. However, you can google it up to see what I speak of.

This is NOT a post against SSs! This is free enterprise talk. I do not solicit the clients of an SS but I will take jobs from a title company who accidently finds me subsequent to a job.

This should show that I am little concerned about the contest of a colorful box war. It's just on my mind for several reasons. I received another call this morning which made me realize that this may be a good way to start thinking outside of the box. Besides, if I get knocked off the board for posting marketing ideas and information like this, I would have more time for putting into these efforts...my addiction to this forum would be intervened upon.

Hang in here on NotaryRotary.com. I suggest (not know) that perhaps Harry has responded to the cacophony of the gripes he has received from unhappy and thin-skinned posters by setting up a system such as this. Even if it boots me, I will still back Harry's efforts here.

If you look at any resource I promote in any of my writings you will find yourself directed right back here to this site. I buy the products and I support this forum. Again, I never intended for anyone to take the angle that suggesting Shane organize a professional organization. If anything, that's a detour away from what we are offered by the organization we have all discussed ad nauseum.

The key is to become focused on finding your target for marketing. Stand out SOMEHOW in your field. It takes time and effort. No matter what you think of me or how little you think of me, I have taken the time and the effort to stand out.

I am not a wizard. These are only my thoughts. Help yourself. Learn about internet marketing...brainstorm and rise to the top...the cream will --as Kathy Poston has taught me.
