 Elaborating...rates are still historically low
Posted by Lee/AR on 9/21/22 8:36am

I'm old...VA loans in the 60's were 7.5%. From the 70's to very late 90s, rates were 8.5 to 10ish%...except for a horrible time in the mid-80s when they started climbing...eventually getting to 15, 16% (12% was fondly remembered then). 2000ish, they started dropping and the refi boom began. 2004ish+, rates kept going down and people were doing refi's twice a year...and rates were still higher than they are today. Pre-2000, it seemed to be a roughly 10 year cycle from low to high & back to low. Since 2000, rates have been--and still are--historically low.
