This has not happened to me personally, but I remember reading on here a few years back and even had a poster trying to recruit notaries for a similar proposition.
If I remember he wanted us to solicit our signers at closing for something or a product service he was pushing. He wanted the names and info of our signers so he could contact them directly. I cannot remember the full details, but wondering if something similar?

Just for giggles, did you hear them out and ask exactly what they wanted from you? Are the clients your signers on a closing?
