Jury Duty summons -- What would you do?
Posted by  Yoli/CA on 12/4/24 10:41am

I received a Jury Duty summons for week of 12/16th. Instructions are to call in after 5:00pm the Friday before (12/13th) to find out if I have to serve. (Note on this procedure: I may have to be calling in each day to see if I have to report for jury duty the following day; this goes on for the entire week; I may be excused the first day or I may have to call in each day until excused) No, I have no reason to request a deferral or request to be disqualified. If I'm called upon, I will do my civic duty.

My question is: Would you accept signings for that week knowing you may be required to report to Court? If called to court, I would have to turn back assignment.

TIA for your input. Smile
