True, not much can be done with that unless the names are registered and copyrighted. Its the modern day copycat along with ID theft and everything else in cybersilly space.

ID theft will never get the legislation it needs unless they pass laws mandating the seller of goods and services to do their due diligence in making sure they know who they are selling to. We as notaries are supposed to verify IDs but other business in the service and retail and some title agencies fail that due diligence. Good legislation would make them responsible for ID theft rather than the victim expensing and consuming much time to sort it all out. Failing to pass such legislation results in businesses becoming negligent, if not intentional, co-conspirators to ID theft.
