I got a call yesterday to do a signing today after 1:00pm, since it was O/N docs. Up to me to schedule, I tried repeatedly to contact the Borrower yesterday (his cell phone), no luck! Got the packgae this morning, called his home - no answer, called his work, got message. Finally, calls me back at 11:00am and says he got my message and wants to close at 1pm. Ok, I say, (trying to be a good NSA and just a reminder) you do have your certified check for $XXXX. What, certified check for XXXX? Nobody ever told me I needed a check... WTH! Title company said he knew, he said he didn't, blah, blah, blah. Just didn't feel that I needed to be the one that told him he needed funds to close - now I have to call title, who has call the LO, wait and see if we still close today... and so on and so on. |
