Just to make it more clear…I do notary work other than ‘loan closings.’ Some notarizations that I do at nursing homes I charge nothing for. I have never gotten $300 for a loan closing. At one time I did charge $150 for a standard, e-doc, refi. I now charge $125, and have a hard time getting that. I offer my sincere congratulations to you or anyone that can get $300 for a closing in today’s market, and that includes attorneys.
