"discuss it with an attorney" - don't waste your time - we here have cited instances time and time again that attorneys are not the best source of clarification on notarial law. I would suggest you go to the source and ask your respective SOS - see if you can get *them* to clarify it...then see if they'll send you that clarification in writing. It's in your laws, it's enforced by the SOS - it should be up to them to clarify their own regulations.
