I have never seen a rider that needs a notarization but check your docs and see if the doc required a notary certificate. If they insist on a new notary don't just provide a loose cert. that certificate could end up attached to any doc that the escrow company want and that you never witnessed. If a new certificate is needed another trip to the signer is also needed and if it was your mistake you got to do it for free.
