Thanks for your reply. There was nothing in the document indicating a notarization was required. Here is the blurb right before the signature for borrower:
"NOTICE TO BORROWER: DO NOT SIGN THIS CLOSING COST RIDER BEFORE YOU READ IT. THIS CLOSING COST RIDER PROVIDES FOR YOUR REPAYMENT OF LENDER ADVANCED THIRD-PARTY CLOSING COSTS IF YOU WISH TO PAY THE BALANCE OF YOUR LOAN OFF WITHIN THIRTY-SIX (36) MONTHS OF THE FIRST PAYMENT DATE. BY SIGNING BELOW, Borrower accepts and agrees to the terms and provisions contained in this Closing Cost Rider."
There were 2 blank CA Acknowledgments AFTER this doc in the package but it is not unusual for packages to have extra copies of Acknowledgments. That is what I thought they were; extras in case needed.
