how is it up to the lender how to apply your notary laws? Yes the LO should have been on top of it, but in your case, Cheryl, the docs should have been drawn w/ a/k/a or f/k/a and you notarize with whatever valid ID is in front of you. It's not up to lender or escrow or title or anyone else to approve CWs - and I'm speaking not only of CA but of Florida too - and probably any other state that allows them and has this language in their regulations.
