 Non payment and now what?
Posted by  KimmyMD on 11/13/24 2:29pm

Hello everyone
I’m not going to name the company yet. I need opinions mostly from Texas notaries in Houston.
I completed a purchase closing buyers in Maryland purchasing Texas new home build. I am on the CD. I believe something happened and have no idea what to do. This closing took place on the 30th. The buyer got their keys and moved in. I’ve inquired about my payment and following up with my invoice, I’m being told“the legal department has the file “. Has anyone ever experienced this? I have no idea what this means the person that hired me is the branch manager. It’s a company that is a builder, lender and title as one. I’ve asked about my payment and that’s the answer that I get no more and no less.
I did have to go out and get just initials on the survey. The title company is telling me they had the buyer re-initialed those electronically And once again, the file is in the hands of the legal department. I have asked for her superior to follow up. I simply want to be paid and have no idea what is transpiring. No response at all, crickets
