Melissa Any notarizing is just notarizing the signature. The notary is just verifying that (on proof of identification) it is your husband who is signing the document. As to whether it is an acknowledgment or jurat, the signer has to decide if they are swearing to certain facts in a document (which is a jurat) or if the signer is just acknowledging that they are the one who signed the document and signed it of their own free will. (if it is a jurat the document must be signed in front of the notary) |
