What specifically do you mean, David?

If you’re referring to the signing verbiage for a document being signed by an attorney in fact (AIF)(the person named as the agent in a POA), then you use whatever verbiage you’re instructed to use by the receiving party. The notarial certificate is also whatever the receiving party dictates Acknowledgment or Jurat).

If you’re referring to the notarial certificate, you would use the verbiage required by your state. Remember, if you’re notarizing the signature of an AIF, then that would be the name in your cert — that’s the person you identified and that’s who’s appearing before you.
