 RON/IPEN name problems
Posted by VT_Syrup on 10/24/24 11:32am

For rulemaking purposes, I'm interested in any problems notaries have had getting a digital certificate because of their name. For example, on their oath of office they used a character with some kind of accent mark like ñ but you couldn't enter that character when you obtained the digital certificate, or you couldn't enter it when you performed a RON or IPEN.

I'm also interested in middle name problems. For example, your middle name is on your driver license and you were forced to include it in your digital certificate. But on your notary oath of office you didn't use a middle name nor initial so your signature would fit into smaller spaces.
