["threw the package together, scanned it and sent it off in a panic."] Lol!

Relatable. Had purchasers for NC property and they were using a law firm for settlement. Originally scheduled for 10/19, I believe; Postponed until today. Firm couldn't get package overnight to borrowers. Signers still didn't have electronic docs this morning. Signing scheduled for noon. When I talked to them yesterday evening they were prepared to print themselves; so I give a few pointers.

(Today) Email(s) from signers (who have hired me direct): "Closing postponed until 29th." Then . . .
"Have been given an ETA that we should receive the email package from the attorney's office before 10:00 today (so we are in good shape for today's appointment)."

What are they trying to do, give me Whiplash??!!

Surprisingly the printed package doesn't look all that bad, but black strip on sides of pages. They were told to print on letter; but I could tell forms were "reduced." They said that's how the file came. Oh well, let's carry on. Someone else's issue.

Welcome to my (our) world!!

Young, savvy couple. They were calm and held it together throughout. I gave them a $20 discount off the quoted fee. At least the atty sent them a return label!!
